About Us
What is our Mission and Vision?
Our mission is to subdue unruly wildlife habitat. We hope to create abundant, stable, and maintained refuge areas while assisting refuge and private landowners with property management overburden ed issues.
Our goal is to obtain permission from refuge and private landowner sponsors to rehabilitate and create wildlife habitat and establish the Genesis Mentor Program. By educating hunters and outdoors enthusiasts on the importance of habitat abundance and replenishment we can help others get into wildlife for years to come.
How can we be successful?
Flocks and Feathers will :
- Establish Sponsor Relationships with private and corporate donors.
- Host fundraising and awareness events.
- Recruit volunteers, employees, and specialists to facilitate our efforts.
- Educate youth, volunteers, and community of wildlife population, conservation efforts, and proper hunting/fishing ethics.
- Apply for grants to obtain necessary equipment and to fund education facility.
- Adopt, establish and maintain acreage for refuge.
- Document population and environmental changes.
- Report successes and failures
Why is getting into wildlife with Flocks and Feathers Important?
Recent waterfowl migration reports have shown a dramatic decline in the South Carolina refuge WMAs.
Community growth and development are forcing wildlife to refuge areas due to lack of available forests, thus creating a need for abundant refuge areas with food.
